Our manufacturing process is basically a gauge reduction process for which the raw material i.e. stainless steel flats are first hot rolled and then cold rolled.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Hot Rolling<\/h4>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The stainless steel flats are first cut into the required sizes and then hot rolled to convert them into 16 gauge sheet or patta.
Hot rolling involves annealing the flat pieces in a furnace and then rolling them in a heated state.
The end product of this process is a stainless steel sheet of 16 gauge, which is called \u201cHot Patta.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Next, the cold rolling process begins. The Hot Patta is first annealed in a furnace at a temperature of around 900\u00b0C.
This step is called Annealing. The annealed patta is then treated with a mixture of acids like Nitric Acid and Sulphuric Acid.
This chemical process is known as Pickling, and the result is a finished product called \u201cPickled Patta.\u201d<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t
\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Pickled Patta is then rolled in Roughing Mill. In this process, the gauge of the sheet is reduced to 20 swg from 16 swg.\nAfter this, the sheet is again annealed in the furnace and pickled in a mixture of acids.\nAfter this, the sheets are again rolled for final gauge reduction and then finishing.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tAfter the final rolling, the sheets are again annealed. Then the sheets are straightened in a Straightening Machine.\nThese sheets are then washed in a mixture of acids.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

This process gives 22 gauge sheets. The process is required to be repeated multiple times for further reduction.

  • Roll Grinding<\/strong>: Rolls have to be grinded with high precision to ensure good surface finish of the sheets.<\/p><\/li>

  • Sheet Cutting<\/strong>: Edges of the sheets are cut to form proper shape.<\/p><\/li>
